3 tips for your organic garden
My hobby garden has completely taken over my backyard and workshop in the past few years. I find it an enjoyable hobby and these are some of the key staples that I have grown in the past few years; Rainbow chard, Russian kale, yellow cauliflower, heirloom tomatoes, and multiple varieties of hot and sweet peppers. I grow most from seed in my workshop, which my daughters help me plant and grow each year, it has been a wonderful learning experience for the whole family, and it makes them more likely to eat the healthy vegetables that they have grown, otherwise we all know how difficult it can be to have children eat up all of their vegetables. If I had to give 3 tips for a great garden, I would say invest in a rain barrel as there are no chemicals in the water and of course it’s free! Invest in the right tools, pots, and grow lights to get a head start on the season, cold frames are also great in extending the season. Finally, improve your soil with great compost that you can make yourself from your kitchen scraps.
