Barrel worm bin

I can get an almost endless supply of 55 food grade plastic drums. I have found instructions for using a drum for worm composting that allows the top to be cut off and used and a closely fitting lid. However, its rather involved process. I am considering just purchasing a plastic trashcan with lid, such as you used in your video. My question is would it help the castings fall through more easily if the clothesline wires were spaced farther apart? In the other instructions I found, the wires were only spaced in one direction and were maybe like 3 or four inches apart? I guess there's probably a fine line between too close together and too far apart, as I understand the "grid" has to support the worm bed.
Answer from BigTex Worms I wish I had the easy answer for you but I simply do not. I spaced mine about 3 inches apart and if anything I would put them closer together not further. Otherwise the stuff falls through before it is processed. I am "trying" to talk my husband into building me a barrel bin with a grate/screen at the bottom that can be agitated in order to process the castings. Hopefully, I will have a demo for you to see this spring in video form. Sorry, I could not be more helpful.
