Compost Tea Recipe

So you are looking for a compost tea recipe? No problem- you came to the right place.

The first thing you need is compost. Being a worm farmer, of course, I suggest vermicastings as your compost source. But you can use any organic finished compost. It should resemble dirt. If it still has chunks of debris in it, then it is not ready.

There are two basic methods for making Compost tea or ACT: aerated and non aerated. I by far recommend aerated and will only discuss this method in this article. You will need:
5 gallons of rainwater or non-chlorinated water
4 cups of vermicompost or other compost
4 TBSP unsulfured molassis OR
4 TBSP fish emulsion
This video shows you exactly how to make ACT:

Once you have made 5 gallons of ACT, then I recommend diluting it one part tea to 3 parts rainwater to use it.
