do worms reproduce quicker under certain conditions?

Hi Liz,

I read somewhere that the red wigglers will reproduce more quickly to save their species if they are in conditions that are not suitable for their survival like if they are being underfed, wrong temp or pH. Is this true?

Thank you and God bless,
Angela

Answer from BigTex Worms:
I have read similar ideas over the years but in my experience, worms breed AND HATCH best if the conditions are good for them: the right temperature, moisture, feeds and bedding.
Breeding/Egg laying is one thing but hatching baby worms is all together a different story.
