Does an indoor bin need a lid?

by Kirk
(Arlington, Tx)

My worm house

My bins are 22 gallon Sterilite tubs with four small holes in the bottom for drainage. I have them nested inside another bin of the same size. The bin are indoors so I am not worried about critters so do I really need a lid? The compost is covered with newspaper and I could use the lid to catch any drainage.

This would double my bin space without addition cost.
