why do redworms want to come out from container/compost?

Worms like to hang out at the top of the bin. I have a video that shows this: watch video here . But if the worms are truly leaving the bin or compost pile it is simply because the environment is wrong for them there. Wrong bedding, wrong food, too hot, too cold, bad ph, too wet, too dry ect.
