School project

by Nina

Hi!!! my friend and I are doing a composting project and we want to bring our bin to school. What would be the safest way to bring them to school? We haven't even made our bin yet so where would we find the bedding for the bottom of the bin? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Nina,
Good for you wanting to have a worm composting project at school.
A simple rubbermaid tote bin or a 5 gallon bucket will work as a bin.
The best bedding to use in a worm bin is something called coconut fiber. You can get it at a pet store in the reptile section.
All this is covered in my video on how to make a worm bin. Watch the video and if you have any more questions, let me know.
