small white things in the compost

by Russ
(Denver, Co)

Hi;

I have a bunch of small white organisms that wiggle on a coffee filter in the compost bucket. I assume they are infant worms. If so, how long before they can be moved or covered by more food or whatever? If they are not eggs/infants, what are they and how to treat them.

Thanks! Russ

Answer from BigTex Worms
It is impossible for me to say for sure without a photo of them. But they are not infant red wiggler worms, baby reds are red or transparent, not white.
Post a photo and I will tell you what they are. If you do not have the ability to post a photo, I would suggest you go to google, click on the images search and type in small white worms and find a photo of what you see and you can tell what they are that way.
