Will worms eat pineapple and it's husk and stalk?

by josh
(chicago)

I've been looking online and have found contradicting info on if it's ok to compost pineapple and it's armory shell and leaves.

What do y'all say??

Answer from BigTex Worms:
Worms will eat anything. Well not bones but everything else will be eaten eventually. The key word here is eventually. I have put pieces of fibrous materials like pineapple shell and leaves in my worm bin and traditional pile. It takes FOREVER, but they do eat it. So, yes, they will eat it but I do not suggest putting them in there because in the time it takes them to eat it, they could have eaten many many pounds of foods that decompose easier.
