Worm Composting Toilets

Hello,
My Fiance and I are building our home (A small cabin for now, with hopes to build more in the future) and we are very much into alternatives. I have read some articles about composting toilets and worms and I am very interested in this idea. We are both familiar with composting toilets; his family has an outdoor one; and we would like to use this method in our home. We want to be able to have it indoors and I like what people have been saying about the worms helping a lot with odors. I had a few concerns though. What we were thinking of doing is buying one of the big storage bins from like the dollar store and building a box around that to build the seat onto.
I was wondering what type of aeration the worms would need... do we need to stir this often for them?
One of my bigger concerns is whether or not the woman's monthly cycle has an adverse affect on the worms?
I hope you have the answer to this topic as it is very difficult to find very many women who know about this topic to ask!! :)
Also, what would be an ideal number of worms to start this off with? We were thinking of the possibility of being able to have a separate food composting bin to be able to replenish the worms in the composting toilet after it gets emptied out since we don't necessarily want to be fishing them out of what we empty!
Can you help me or refer me to someone who can, please?
I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you!!
Thanks,
~Kate
Answer from BigTex Worms Unfortunately, I do not have a compost toilet, but I do know who can help you. Joe Jenkins, is the most knowledgable person I have found on the subject. Here is his website:
