I have 14 worm towers in my square foot beds. My water is supplied underground drip irrigation. I wanted to try the worm tower directly in the beds, starting small and allow to develop over this year. Do you have any experience with worm tower in this area?
My beds are in full sun. My tower is 2 ft in the ground and 6 inches above ground, I will watch your video for addition training, esp the bedding. Can you recommend amount to start off with for each tower? See my picture below.

Great looking beds!
I am a bit worried about the towers being in direct full sun. The worms need shade. I would at MINIMUM recommend putting some shade cloth over the tower and that area. Otherwise the worms will just bake.
I have never used a worm tower per say but I have done trench composting. I do not find red wigglers stay in the beds, I dont know if they die or just wander off.
I would recommend buying one starter bag and putting a small handful of worms in each tower. I would not recommend investing a lot of money in case the environment is not quite right for them and they die. (which honestly is my prediction but I hope I am wrong)
I would love for you to keep us posted on your progress.
